Tradition, love and these two – Southwark register office wedding
When their dreamed and long-awaited day came, we first met at the Bride’s house. There, preparations for the wedding took place. I don’t have to convince you and prove that Susan looked beautiful. However, what captivated me from the first moment when I met those in love was the great respect for their native tradition. Even though we did not move to China at all, I felt like in a real romantic movie, where the practice is treated on a par with the critical feeling, the love between these two.
The not-so-easy way to get the bride
The wedding ceremony took place at the Southwark register office, but more on that in a moment.
As a photographer, I have already met dozens or even hundreds of people I have photographed. The shooting took place in various circumstances. Even though they mainly deal with wedding photography, I haven’t managed to experience two of the same weddings or wedding receptions yet. You have to take my word for it – and it’s incredible. This variety of characters, beliefs, expectations, priorities and traditions is extraordinary. Therefore, it is with great joy that I always present you with the results of my work to show you a part of my magical world.
I can easily say that I own them a lot. They took me into the world of their family, Chinese traditions that I had no idea about. When I photographed Susan during her preparation, I could observe her focus, anticipation and great joy. However, as you will see correctly, I captured even more in the frames. Beautiful, traditional clothes, beautiful details – everything immersed in their family atmosphere made me delight. Kevin also showed up with time, but getting to Susan was not an easy task. Even though they were about to get married, Kevin had a difficult task, and he had to try again to get his beloved. When the groom appeared with his colleagues, he had to perform a few jobs and play a few games that the bridesmaids and friends of the Bride had invented for him. He could enter the house only when he dealt with everything perfectly and deserved to see his beloved.
Respect for tradition
What captivated me when photographing this wedding was the great respect for the family tradition. I have already mentioned that she was respected and cared for in the Bride’s house, but the same happened with the groom. I watched everything from behind a glass eye and tried to capture the most beautiful moments of the day. In addition, traditional tea-drinking could not be missing here. They had tea at the Bride’s house, and it was also a time for guests to give them small gifts and bless their relationship. In the groom’s house, the situation was the same.
Southwark register office
The Bride and Groom chose Southwark-register-office as the wedding venue. It was not without emotions. Thanks to the fact that I observe many people and accompany them at different moments of my life, I immediately notice sincere emotions and real feelings. Indeed, Susan and Kevin were looking forward to finally officially married. And believe me – it was so cute.
As you well know, I always try to make the most beautiful photos possible from this special day. After the wedding, which took place at the Southwark register office, we all went to a photo shoot in a nearby park. There we also took photos of the family and the bride and groom. Whoever wanted could pose with the newlyweds, and the guests eagerly used this privilege. As it turned out, it was a good decision – outdoor photography on the wedding day is an excellent idea. A few frames are enough to capture what is most beautiful. After this short photo session, we went to the restaurant where the wedding party was held. As you can see, the fun was highly successful, and there was no shortage of joy.
How to prepare for a wedding session?
Maybe my answer will surprise you, but you, as a bride and groom, do not have to make any preparations to look great in wedding photos. All you need is your sincere feeling and joy, which will undoubtedly accompany you on this day. My task is only to catch what is real and natural.
